Summertime Safety for PGH Youth, May 17th

The Zone 2 and Zone 5 Citizens Public Safety Councils, with the support of the Zone 4 command, are excited to announce a city-wide public safety meeting for Pittsburgh residents on “Summertime Safety for Youth”. This meeting will cover various city programs and policies to keep our youth safe and out of trouble in the summer, as well as general updates from our Public Safety divisions and and a special presentation from the Mayor’s Office. It is also a great opportunity to meet other community leaders from across the city. We hope that you will be able to join us.

Footloose Musical at Peabody/Obama 6-12 May 4th-5th

Obama High School’s (formerly Schenley’s) award-winning drama department is presenting Footloose! This is a terrific show with lots of great singing, acting, dancing and a talented orchestra. A guaranteed fun evening for only $7 at the Peabody High School Auditorium.

Volunteers Needed for the Super Playground, May 5th

Join us Saturday, May 5th for a family fun day of spreading the Fibar safety mulch at the Highland Park Super Playground. Mulching fun will begin at 9:00 a.m. If you prefer lighter duty, help us pick-up twigs and pull weeds. No amount of support is too small!

Yes, it is that time again when volunteers from the neighborhood team up to spread 100 cubic yards of safety mulch so that hundreds of children can play safely throughout the summer. Help us make sure they have a safe and wonderful time!

PA Great American Clean Volunteers Needed, April 28th

The Great American Clean Up will be held on April 28th, 2012 to help clean up Highland Park.  PA Clean up 2012 Flyer

The Clean Up will last from 9:30 to 11:30. Meet at Dilworth Traditional Academy in Highland Park, 6200 Stanton Avenue. Vests and bags will be provided. Please feel welcome to bring your own supplies. Snacks and water will also be available, but you will have to bring your own water bottle to fill up.
