Reservoir Of Jazz This August in Highland Park

reservoir_jazz_198x89This summer you can once again relax on the lawn at Highland Park to the sounds of jazz performed by Pittsburgh’s finest musicians. Residents of the tri-state area look forward to the month of August each year to witness this showcase of the area’s extraordinary talent of jazz at the ever-popular Reservoir of Jazz series.

Highland Park Pool Is Open

poolLocated in the midst of Highland Park, the pool has perhaps the most beautiful setting of any pool in the city. It also features the City Parks’ only public 50 meter pool and kiddie pool – as well as a sand volleyball court. The pool is open from mid-June until Labor Day. 4th of July Parade at the Highland Park Fountain

kidsbikesThe Highland Park Community Council Kids’ Committee is hosting its annual 4th of July Parade. Kids of all ages are invited to decorate their bicycle and then show off their handy work with a parade around the fountain.

When: July 4 at 10 a.m.
Where: Highland Park — meet near the fountain

Supplies to decorate bikes, tricycles, wagons and anything else on wheels will be provided, as well as balloons and snacks.

Volunteers to help the little ones with decorations and to fill helium balloons are needed. We are also accepting donations of red, white and blue decorations for the children to use to decorate their bikes.
