The Highland Park Community Council is hosting a Volunteer Fair this Thursday, November 20th at 7 PM at St. Andrews, and you’re invited! Come learn about the many ways you can get involved, support your neighbors, and help make our neighborhood an even better place to call home.

Whether you’re interested in events, parks, safety, outreach, or behind-the-scenes planning, there’s a place for everyone to contribute. Meet current volunteers, explore different committees, ask questions, and find the perfect fit for your time and talents.

And yes… we’ll have fresh-baked cookies out of the oven!  Stop by, grab a treat, and discover how you can make a meaningful impact right here in Highland Park. Registration is preferred but not required. 

Join your neighbors in donating Thanksgiving trimmings for seniors at the Vintage Senior Center!

From now through Nov 15th: Drop off your donations of cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, cornbread mix, turkey gravy, and yams on the porch at 1128 Winterton St. Giant Eagle gift cards can also be donated and we’ll do the shopping! Email lfarramyers@gmail.com with questions.

The Highland Park Community Council purchased the Bryant St. Parklet (at Euclid & Bryant) this summer, so that we could preserve it as a greenspace for the community. We are embarking on a design process to plan improvements and adjustments so that the Parklet can continue to serve and grow as a beautiful community amenity.

The October HPCC community meeting will be held this Thursday September 16th, from 7-8 pm at St. Andrews Episcopal Church (5801 Hampton St)! The agenda includes:

• Bryant St. Parklet Engagement Update – Introduction to FWD Studio, the team helping drive our community engagement process for the Bryant St. Parklet. We will talk about the scope of the project and upcoming opportunities to engage!  
• City Controller Rachael Heisler Presentation and Q&A – Rachael Heisler, Pittsburgh’s City Controller, will give a brief presentation on her office’s duties and goals, and answer any questions. 
• Other updates on fall events
