During the 2014 Highland Park House Tour many showcase homeowners, neighbors and tour guests voiced an interest to learn from each other and trusted experts how to best care for their homes inside and out. Based on this feedback and desire to connect with other residents the HPCC is sponsoring a FREE event to answer questions, connect residents with resources and each other, and educate our community on maintaining a home in our National Residential Historic District.

The event is planned for February 2015 with a goal of educating the community at large on home improvements, general home maintenance issues, navigating city processes such as permitting and innovative approaches to enhancing the value of your residence.

Please take a few minutes to provide us with input into the planning of this event by taking this short survey. Your input will be used to determine topics, content and speakers.

Join us for the HPCC Monthly meeting tonight November 20th for an update on the Union Project with Executive Director Jeffrey Dorsey. The meeting will start at 7:00pm and will be held at our usual location at St Andrew’s Church at 5801 Hampton Street.

Please note: The meeting will be at St Andrew’s NOT at the Union Project.

District 7 at your Doorstep is a new initiative from Councilwoman Gross’s office to help connect with constituents and better understand their concerns. Friday afternoons will be spent visiting residents of the district to witness first hand areas of concern. Appointments can be used to illustrate a particularly dangerous intersection, highlight a building inspection issue, or add emphasis to a recently discussed problem. Election Day is TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4th. It is a GENERAL ELECTION.
