Yard Sale Applications Due May 29th
Want to clear some space in the attic, basement or closet? Consider participating in the annual Great Highland Park Yard Sale. It will be held in conjunction with the Bryant Street Festival. Expect both events to be well attended. Click here for the The Highland Park Yard Sale Flyer 2011
The HPCC coordinates the Great Highland Park Yard Sale. As in years past, we expect over a thousand bargain hunters to visit the community. It is easy to participate. Fill out the application form. With the exception of your address and the items you wish to sell, all information is confidential. Email or Mail this form and $15 (checks made out to HPCC) to Paul Miller, 5714 Elgin Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Your payment covers advertising and printing costs for maps, signs and address/sale item listings. Note that no form will be accepted after May 29th.
Don’t forget to pick up your signs and balloons on Saturday (June 4th) before the yard sale on the front porch of the address above.
HPCC Meeting Features Allen, Holley
HPCC had an excellent turn out Thursday night for the HPCC meeting featuring a public school panel discussion. A spokesperson from the Western PA Conservancy spoke on the need for volunteer school tenders, and Kevin Bivens spoke about Fulton K-5. We’ll have more information on these two in later posts.
There are three candidates for District 2 PPS School Board – Dara Allen, Celina Bassant and Regina Holley. Dara and Regina (who are both Highland Park residents) spoke and answered questions.
The primary is May 17th. Fill out your pledge card and learn more about the candidates at the A+ Schools site. Don’t forget to vote!
