The open-air firing range used by Pittsburgh Police for firearms training is located east of Washington Boulevard, about halfway up the hill that leads to the Shuman Center and the former Veteran’s VA Hospital. For more information about it and its impacts, please see this joint statement from the HPCC and the Highland Park Community Development Corporation.

The HPCC is collecting written testimonials and/or audio files to document the impacts of the firing range on City residents, nearby communities, and park users. There are two ways to submit information.

  1. Use this form.

In the future we may want to share the testimonials publicly. Please indicate if we can use your name (which can be more impactful) or if you prefer to remain anonymous. We may contact you with follow-up questions, but we will not share your email address or name without your permission.
