An introduction to our new newsletter

This month the HPCC is proud to introduce a new electronic format for our monthly newsletter. You can view this month’s full newsletter online. This format, plus our new blog, will enable us to provide information in a way that’s timely and easy to access.

What’s new?

  • Events, news, and other info will be posted in real time on the new HPCC blog. Click here to subscribe to blog posts.
  • Each month, blog posts and additional content will be assembled into a single electronic newsletter that will be sent to subscribers and the listserv.
  • HPCC members will begin receiving the newsletter immediately. Anyone else can subscribe here.
  • HPCC postings will be searchable.
  • A new events calendar in the newsletter and on our website will make it easier to keep track of what’s happening: Click here to visit the HPCC events calendar.
  • Over the upcoming months, we’ll be looking for people to contribute to the newsletter. Potential topics include (but aren’t limited to!) Highland Park history, updates from our community’s schools, and local events. Interested? Reach out to hpcceditor@gmail.com.

What can you still rely on?

  • The HPCC will provide updates on important happenings in the city and our neighborhood on the listserv and our website.
  • A printed copy of the newsletter will continue to be sent out to community members once a year.

  • Nancy Gohring, new newsletter editor, and Kathleen Paola, new website administrator, for all their work to make HPCC’s communications even more timely and accessible;
  • Monica Watt, outgoing HPCC newsletter editor & former President, whose hard work provided us with (among many other things) gorgeous newsletters for over a decade; and
  • Jake Pawlak, former HPCC website administrator & President, who continues his involvement and is responsible for making the Highland Park Yard Sale a success.
