The Highland Park Community Council will be holding its next meeting this upcoming Thursday, August 16th at 7 pm. This month, instead of St. Andrew’s, we will be meeting at the Union Project, at the corner of Stanton and Negley.
This month’s meeting is slated to include:
* A brief Q&A time with Jeff Hanna, a Highland Park resident who has long been crafting beer in his home as a hobby, and who has decided, with some friends, to pursue a brewer’s manufacturing license and to produce beer for locally owned and operated business establishments. Jeff has been fairly proactive in engaging his neighbors and the HPCC to in an effort to ensure a smooth transition; this will be an opportunity for anyone from the community to come hear him and get answers to any questions they may have.
* A presentation by Jeff Dorsey and the Union Project on the project’s ongoing efforts to restore the building and the Union Project’s 3-year plan for ongoing engagement with the community.
* A sneak peak at the slate of HPCC Officer and Director nominations for 2012-13. The HPCC-wide vote on these nominees will be taking place at our September meeting.
